Assam’s War on Drugs: Drugs worth Rs 2 cr seized in Kokrajhar

In a massive crackdown on illegal drugs smuggling, the Gossaigaon police seized drugs worth Rs 2 crore from Shrirampur in Assam’s Kokrajhar district.
The Gosaingaon sub-divisional police officer, Hiren Deka, during a raid in Shrirampur, intercepted a trailer truck and seized 223 packets of cannabis.
The police have apprehended the drug trafficker, identified as Ajay Sahani who hails from Bihar.
The cannabis was smuggled from Guwahati and was being taken to Delhi.
