In search of peace, Manipur MLAs, Oppn leaders flock to Delhi to meet PM Modi

At least 8 BJP MLAs have reached New Delhi last night
The focus has now shifted to New Delhi. With crisis just refusing to die in trouble torn Manipur, MLAs of the ruling front as well as Opposition leaders have all flocked to Delhi hoping to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As many as 8 BJP MLAs landed at the national capital yesterday.
As per inputs, several MLAs are already in the national capital to apprise the Prime Minister about the prevailing situation in the state. The MLAs undoubtedly will also seek PM Modi’s intervention to restore peace and normalcy in the state that has been on the boil since May 3.
Manipur Assembly Speaker Th Satyabrata had held a meeting with valley based MLAs wherein it was decided to reach out to the Prime Minister. Reports suggest 24 MLAs had attended the meeting.
The following MLAs are said to be in Delhi waiting to meet the Prime Minister:
Langthabal AC MLA Karam Shyam
Hiyanglam AC MLA Dr Y Radheshyam
Heirok AC MLA Th Radheshyam
Keishamthong AC MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam
Uripok AC MLA Kh Raghumani
Wangjing-Tentha AC MLA P Brojen
Thanga AC MLA T Robindro
Lamshang AC MLA S Rajen
Sources, said that more MLAs might reach New Delhi to meet the Prime Minister.
A delegation of Opposition parties comprising of at least 30 leaders are also likely to meet PM Narendra Modi.
However, no official confirmation is available at this moment as to when the leaders would be meeting the Prime Minister.
Manipur has been ripped apart by clashes since May 3. Over 100 people are dead, hundreds injured, many maimed for life, thousands have been rendered homeless, children and young students are without education and not sure of their future and life.
The Centre’s peace initiative, the Manipur Peace Committee flopped even before it took off.
