He landed in trouble after the 8-year old girl fabricated a story of being kidnapped by him.

A false claim made by an 8-year old girl turned out to be the worst nightmare for a delivery from Assam who was working in Bengaluru.

Everything was fine for the delivery boy who was residing in the city with his wife and 5-year old daughter, until the day when he went to an apartment near Electronics City on June 12 to deliver food.

He landed in trouble after the 8-year old girl fabricated a story of being kidnapped by him.

As per reports, while the girl’s parents were preparing to send their son to school, she went to the terrace to play. The parents looked for her and eventually found her on the terrace.

On questioning, the girl pointed to the food delivery boy, alleging that he had dragged her to the terrace. Soon, enraged parents of the girl raised hue and cry prompting the residents of the apartment to mobilize and find out what has happened.

What followed next was that the food delivery boy was mercilessly assaulted as the enraged ‘mob’ refused to pay any heed to him even as he begged saying that he was innocent. Soon the Hoysala patrolling police arrived at the spot and managed to bring the situation under control.

As investigations proceeded, police accessed CCTV footage from a nearby paying guest accommodation. The CCTV camera captured the girl going to the terrace unaccompanied and the allegations made by the girl against the delivery boy turned out to be false.

However, the food delivery boy chose not to file any complaint.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed serious concern over the incident and urged his Karnataka counterpart to take necessary action.

Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Sarma said,”The acute harassment & trauma being faced by a delivery agent from Assam over fake charges, is extremely disturbing.
I request the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka to kindly ensure that adequate protection and justice is delivered to the said individual.
