The organization had previously submitted a series of representations to the government of Arunachal Pradesh, urging them to address the issue

The Arunachal National Movement for the Old Pension Scheme has given a 15-day ultimatum to the state government to address their issues and restore the Old Pension Scheme.

Vice President of Arunachal National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (OPS) Tamchi Taniang expressed deep disappointment over the government’s failure to respond to the organisations pleas regarding restoration of the Old Pension Scheme for the benefit of state government employees.

The organization had previously submitted a series of representations to the government of Arunachal Pradesh, urging them to address the issue.

Taniang stated that the if the organization fails to take action within the 15-day timeframe, they will be left with no choice but to resort to peaceful rallies, pen-down strike, mass casual leaves following the Central Civil Services rule, and stage a protest rally.

The demand for the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme stems from the concern for the interests and welfare of state government employees. The National Movement for Old Pension Scheme firmly believes that the Old Pension Scheme would offer greater security and stability to employees in their post-retirement years.

The lack of action of the state government has left the members of the National Movement for Old Pension Scheme prompting them to opt for peaceful protests and strikes to draw attention to their cause.
