Assam: Lightning kills two in Biswanath

Two persons have died after being struck by lightning in Assam’s Biswanath district.
The deceased persons have been identified as–Ramesh Bor and Anand Khandelwal, both labourers.
The incident occurred at Mahalakshmi Tea Estate in Biswanath on Monday night.
It is learnt that the deceased were driving tractors to fields when lightning struck them.
After noticing, locals took them to a nearby hospital where they were declared brought dead by doctors.
Locals have urged the Assam government to assist the economically weak families of the deceased persons.
