Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey today visited violence affected Churachandpur district after she was appointed as the Chairman of the Peace Committee constituted by the Centre.

The Manipur Governor headed straight to the relief camp set up at the Churachandpur College. Governor Uikey took stock of the inmates who have taken shelter at the facility and enquired about their health and well being.

The government has issued strict directives to the officials concerned to ensure that there is no shortage of essentials like safe drinking water, medicines, baby foods as well as others items.
