All efforts are on to develop Chiwabhangyang at the Indo-Nepal border as a commercial corridor. Sikkim Chief Minister, PS Tamang, visited Chiwabhangyang on Tuesday and reviewed the areas. During his visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Forest Guest House built by the Sikkim government at Chiwabhangyang, interacted with Sikkim Armed Police and Border Force personnel stationed at the border, and took suggestions about the necessary infrastructure to be built in the border area. CM Tamang stated that based on the suggestions given by economic adviser Mahendra P. Lama and local security officials, the Indian government will prepare a plan to develop Chiwabhanjyang as a commercial corridor.
