Three luminaries from Assam have been selected for this year’s prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi award.
The three recipients are noted Sattriya dance exponents Oja Jagannath Bayan, Ramkrishna Talukdar and noted theater personality Nuruddin Ahmed. Bayan and Talukdar have been life long exponents of Assam’s famed Sattriya dance.
On the other hand, Ahmed has been awarded for his contribution towards art direction in the line of theater. The winners expressed their happiness regarding the honour bestowed on them.
