In a horrific incident reported from Kalibari Char area of Silchar town, a 12-year old killed his friend, also a 12-year-old child, by stabbing him with an umbrella on the forehead. According to reports, both the child were playing in front of their house with few other children. Suddenly the two kids picked up a fight and in a fit of rage, one child picked up an umbrella and stabbed his friend on the forehead killing him on the spot.
The injured boy was rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital but he had died by then.
Both the kids studied together in Class VI, Govt. Boys School, Silchar.
