Arunachal: Upper Siang DC asks people of newly built Pobe Administrative Circle to maintain quality works

Deputy Commissioner of Upper Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh, Hage Lailang visited the newly built Pobe Administrative Circle at Komkar area and called upon the people to maintain the quality of works and judiciously utilise the fund sanctioned for the creation of infrastructures at Pobe Circle headquarter.
He also asked them to be vigilant and cooperate with each other and complete the work in a timebound manner to make it functional as soon as possible by posting officers and staff for the overall development of the circle and the area.
DC Hage Lailang visited the site yesterday and conducted a foot march to take stock of the area donated for circle headquarter. He also interacted with Gaon Buras (village heads) , Boiir Bane Kebang (BBK) members, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) leaders and villagers at Komkar Rasing Community Hall.
Speaking about the importance of changing mindset DC Lailang advised people to try to move away from traditional thought patterns and accept new ideas and thinking for overall holistic development and welfare of the people.
Expressing his concerns about the poor academic performance of the government schools of Upper Siang in the recently declared All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exam, he said, “Education is one of the most important aspects of human resource development and so we need to seriously look into all aspects to improve it and it is the responsibility of every stakeholder of the society to work upon to address such issues.”
The Pobe Administrative Circle was built in Komkar area, about 40 km away from district HQ Yingkiong. It will be the 12th administrative circle of the district and cater to the needs of Komkar-Rasing, Sijer and Buksang villages, said DC Hage Lailang.
Meanwhile, Adv Vijay Taram, President Boiir Bane Kebang submitted a six-point memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on important issues that concern the village and its people pertaining to sanctioning funds for water supply for potable drinking water to Pobe circle, electrification, construction of 6mtrs wide CC road along with proper drain, construction of road from Pobe circle to Harkham NH-513, installation of mobile tower etc.
