Nagaland shines at the 3rd National Arm Wrestling Championships with 14 medals

Nagaland Rajya Sabha MP S. Phangnon Konyak took to Twitter to extend heartfelt congratulations to team Nagaland for their remarkable achievement

Nagaland won 14 medals in 3rd National Arm Wrestling Championships held at the Ramee Guestline Hotel, Bangalore, Karnataka. The winners from the state are Neli Dominic, Vethozo Lohe, Avilie Zuyie, Zizi Mongzar (Youth), Abhishek Pradhan, Thangboilal Saum, Kuvemuri Ringa, and George Mero.

Neil Dominic (63kg) won two gold medals in both the left-handed and right-handed competition in the senior category.

Vethozo Lohe (78kg) won four gold medals in the youth and senior category for both left-handed and right-handed.

Avilie Zuyie (86kg) won gold for right-handed and silver for left-handed in the youth category.

Zizi Mongzar (63kg) won two silver medals for both left and right in the youth category.

Abhishek Pradhan won a gold medal in the youth open weight while Kuvemuri Ringa (70 kg) won bronze medal in the senior category for left-handed category.

Thangboilal SAum (78 kg) won silver in junior category for left-handed and George Mero (63 kg) won silver in juniors for left-handed competition.

Nagaland Rajya Sabha MP S. Phangnon Konyak took to Twitter to extend heartfelt congratulations to team Nagaland for their remarkable achievement. Konyak wrote, ” My heartfelt congratulations to Team #Nagaland for having won 14 medals in the 3rd National Arm Wrestling Championships.
