Base for 19 cancer hospitals in Assam to be laid on Monday

The foundation for the 19 new cancer hospitals in Assam will be laid on Monday in the presence of Tata Trust chairman Ratan Tata.

BJP national president Amit Shah and Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and state Health and Family Welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also be present on the occasion.

The 19 cancer hospitals which will be in three models that is L1, L2 and L3 are slated to be made operational within 2 years.

The Assam Cancer Care Foundation set up by the state government in association with the Tata Trust will run the cancer hospitals.
