A prominent tribal BJP leader in Manipur, Paolienlal Haokip, who is the party MLA from Saikot, appears to have openly revolted against Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

MLA Haokip is demanding a change in leadership or even a stint of president’s rule in the state while holding CM N Biren Singh responsible for the current unrest in Manipur. Asked on whether his comments do not amount to anti-party activities, Haokip said that his remarks were not aimed at the party but against the leadership in the state.
