Bad news for loyal Amazon Prime users in India as the retail giant has announced a hike in price of its prime subscription plans that will pinch your pockets hard.

The e-commerce giant increased the prices of monthly to annual plans by a big margin compared to previous ones in India.

The cost of a monthly Amazon Prime membership has increased from Rs 179 to Rs 299, an increase of Rs 120.

Take a look at the new prices of Amazon Prime Membership as per the plans:
Mobile-Only Plan:
For the Mobile-Only Plan, dubbed Annual Prime Lite, you will now have to pay Rs 999 instead of Rs 599.
Access to Amazon original content, live cricket, foreign films, offline viewing, and support for one smartphone screen are all included in this 365-day membership.

Quarterly Plan:
The cost of the quarterly subscription has increased from Rs 459 to a cool Rs 599, which is a slightly milder blow.

This plan will still give you access to early sale access on Amazon India and exceptional discounts for Prime Video, Prime Music, and those irresistible Prime bargains.

Annual Plan:
However, it is shigh of relief for those who opt for Annual Amazon Prime subscription as the plan’s price remains at Rs 1,499. For access to free delivery, music and video streaming, and special discounts, this service continues to be a popular pick with a monthly price of less than Rs 125.
