Director H. Priyosakhi said that the ministry has replied to RIMS saying that they are discussing the issue and a final instruction on the matter will be given in the coming days.

Besides, RIMS had also agreed to follow the reservation norms, which provide 34 percent reservation for ST in the recruitment of Group C and D posts.

Several organisations have extended their support to the shutdown call, which includes the All Naga Students Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Kuki Student’s Organisation (KSO), office of Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA), office of the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), and Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNRK-M).

While several student organisations are against the shutdown call.
