Manipur: ZSF vows to protect its land

The ZSF appealed to Church leaders, CSOs, Chiefs, Innpis, Intellectuals and representatives to stand united
Amid the ongoing imbroglio over land and tribal rights in Manipur The Zomi Students’ Federation, General Headquarters (ZSF-GHQ) resolved to protect and defend their land, and territories and not bog down to any pressure.
The resolution was taken during a public leader’s consultative meeting on Tribal Rights and land issues, held in Churachandpur on Thursday.
The ZSF appealed to Church leaders, Civil society organisation (CSOs), village chiefs, Innpis (tribe aoex bodies), Intellectuals and representatives to stand united and give a joint front against all odds and subversive elements and work in tandem with the public. It also reminded them to be prepared and stand up when necessary.
During the consultation meeting, deliberation on land issues was conducted by Retired IFS officer KS Tombing, deliberation on Tribal Rights by Advocate P Khamkhanthuam, deliberation on Tribal Current Impasse and way out Plan by R Sanga.
