Taking note of the inconvenience caused to the public and commuters while entering Shillong’s Police Bazar, Meghalaya Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh today made an inspection to take stock of the ground situation. Following the inspection, Lyngdoh said that they have identified Police Bazar as one of those parts in Shillong city to make it a pedestrian zone and a no honking zone. He added that pedestrians are facing difficulty in walking and they want to tackle this problem. Lyngdoh also said that the issue of honking is also a problem near hospitals and the government is looking to tackle that too.
