Editor-in-Chief Wasbir Hussain’s exclusive conversation with Naga Mothers Association Advisor Rosemary Dzuvichu.

The Naga Mothers Association has opposed the decision of the State Assembly to repeal the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001. The state assembly had passed the Nagaland Municipal Act (Repeal Act 2023) in the just concluded session. NMA had supported the Municipal Act 2001 where 33% reservation for women had been allocated in the Urban Local Bodies. The Group has objected to the decision to repeal the Act without any civil dialogue or consultation with the women in the state.
