Ever since Kartiki Gosnalves’ The Elephant Whisperers documentary won an Oscar for the Best Short, fans have been expressing their love for the adorable couple, Bomman and Bellie. The Elephant Whispered couple have won millions of hearts with their touching story. The Oscar-winning documentary featured the couple who took care of an orphaned elephant calf named Raghu.
THE ELEPHANT WHISPERERS FOSTER PARENT TO A CALF
Post sharing their heart-touching story with the entire world and grabbing an Oscar for the same, The Elephant Whisperers couple have now become foster parents to another orphaned baby elephant at the government-run Theppakadu Elephant Camp in the Nilgiris District.
The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Supriya Sahu shared a heartwarming video on Twitter that showed the couple alongside the baby elephant. The video just depicts the affection and tender care of the couple for that calf, who can be seen revelling in the company of his new caretakers. The video till now has garnered 19.8K likes, while the comments have just an outpour of love from the people.
Sahu shared the video and wrote, “The Circle of life continues. The Elephant Whisperers’ Bomman and Bellie are now foster parents to another orphaned baby elephant from Dharmapuri, now in Mudumalai, after Team Tamil Nadu forest tried its best to reunite the 4-month-old calf with the herd. We are happy he is in safe hands (sic).”

The video received love and appreciation from Twitter users in the comment section, who just praised their work and devotion towards the elephants. One of the users wrote, “TN forest department should come out with Bomman & Bellie merchandise. They’d be a super hit.” Another user echoed similar sentiments and wrote, “This time film on the cards for sure. I wish to visit this place and take a pic. The documentary chronicles the journey of Raghu’s recovery and survival.
