Assam is abuzz with relentless preparations as the state is all set to attempt a shot at the Guinness World Records for the largest Bihu dance in a single venue on April 14 in the presence of PM Narendra Modi. A total of 11,140 bihu performers will be shortlisted from across the state to attempt this ambitious world record. As such, auditions for the purpose have been undertaken at Kamalpur in Assam, where hundreds of Bihu performers have gathered for a chance to be selected for the prestigious event. Local MLA Diganta Kalita, who was also present on the occasion, appealed to the participants to abide by all the rules and regulations of the auditions.
