Students or hooligans? BJP leader attacked by students of Cotton University

Assam BJP leader Vijay Pathak was allegedly attacked by some students of Cotton University, Guwahati near the Guwahati railway station last night.

Pathak who is the General Secretary of the Guwahati BJP District Committee, was allegedly beaten up with tea kettle, chairs, and rods. The students are said to be in an inebriated state.
According to sources, Vijay Pathak was having tea at the railway station when 3 drunk students came riding a bike and hit him with the bike. Vijay Pathak asked the students why they hit him with their bike and the students attacked Vijay Pathak. A group of 20-25 Cottonians arrived at the spot after someone among them called their hostel mates. The BJP leader sustained serious injuries and received several stitches on his head.
The students were from the MNDP hostel of Cotton University.
