Flood threat looms over Tripura where every year thousands of families are displaced and life disrupted.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has assured that the newly formed government is looking for a permanent solution to the flood related issues.

The Chief Minister has said that a 25 meter high dam will be constructed at the Baramura Hill which is the source point of Howrah River in Khowai district.

An amount of 250 crore rupees has been announced for the construction of the dam and it will be completed within two and half years.
