Sohiong Legislative Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Meghalaya state in India. It is part of East Khasi Hills district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.
In 2018 the constituency had 28,739 electors. In 2023 the population of Khlyllem Sohiong is estimated to be 160 and total households residing are 20.
Hill State People’s Democratic Party candidate Samlin Malngiang is the sitting MLA of Sohiong constituency. He won the seat by defeating H. DONKUPAR R. LYNGDOH of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 622 votes.
Samlin Malngiang is again contesting the 2023 assembly elections as a NPP candidate from Sohiong constituency. Samlin Malngiang joined the National People’s Party (NPP) in January 10, 2023.
