Richard M Marak said that this time their party is fighting the election on the issue of governance, saying that there was no governance during the last 5 years
Ahead of the Meghalaya Assembly Elections, TMC’s South Tura candidate Richard M Marak has accused the ruling NPP and its once-upon-a-time buddy BJP of adopting the divide-and-rule policy to confuse the public and creating unnecessary divisions in society.
Responding to BJP’s corruption and unemployment charges leveled against former Meghalaya CM and TMC leader Dr. Mukul Sangma, Marak dared the BJP to come out with proof, because the people of Meghalaya know what Dr. Mukul Sangma had done for them during his tenure as the CM.
Speaking about the escalating war of words between BJP and NPP Marak said that it is just an eyewash, a divide-and-rule policy adopted by both parties. Behind the scenes NPP and BJP are hand in glove, adding that both the parties were together in the MDA government and post elections, both BJP and NPP will come together.
“Just for the election purpose they are questioning each other, but they will come back together. All the political parties are going to come back together under the leadership of BJP again and under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma and Amit Shah. People doesn’t want this proxy BJP government to come back. People want change and TMC is the only alternative.” Marak added.
Earlier Union Home Minister Amit Shah during an election rally in Meghalaya launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Conrad and Dr Mukul Sangma alleged that multi-crore Central funds never reached the people and it was siphoned by the two Sangma families, besides both the families left lakhs of unemployment in the state high and dry.
Meanwhile, Richard M Marak said that this time their party is fighting the election on the issue of governance, saying that there was no governance during the last 5 years.
“In every sector people have been deprived off. People want change and TMC is the only alternative that can bring change. Our 10 pledges will bring our transformational change in south Tura and in Meghalaya” Richard M Marak added.
Richard M Marak is contesting against incumbent CM Conrad Sangma and BJP Meghalaya Vice President Bernard Marak in the South Tura constituency.
