India’s Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu arrived in Agartala on a two-day visit. Vice President Naidu landed at Agartala Airport on an Indian Air Force plane at 1.30 pm today.

Tripura State Governor Tatagata Roy, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Minister Ratan Lal Nath and Minister N. C Debbarma were present at the airport to welcome the Vice-President.
All the VIP’s present at the airport received him ceremoniously with a bouquet of flowers. The guard of honor was also accorded to him by Tripura State Rifles.
The Vice President was then taken to Raj Bhavan, from where he went to the 13th convocation of Tripura University as the Chief Guest.
After the ceremony, he will be back in Raj Bhavan for the night and then return to Delhi tomorrow.
