Bamutia is an assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, this constituency was won by the BJP’s Krishnadhan Das by defeating Haricharan Sarkar of CPI-M with a margin of 972 votes. Haricharan Sarkar had won the seat in 2013 and 2008 by defeating Congress candidate.
In 2008, he won the seat by defeating Prakash Chandra Das of the Congress and again in 2013, he defeated Prakash Chandra Das by a margin of 2,750 votes.
Bamutia is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state in India. It is part of West Tripura district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. It is also part of Tripura West (Lok Sabha constituency).
