Minor girl gang-raped in Assam’s Dibrugarh district

It has been alleged that the accused youths had forcibly taken the victim towards the forest and raped her for two days
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two youths in Assam’s Dibrugarh district.
The incident has been reported from Dibrugarh’s Lahowal area.
The incident has come to light after the girl who had been missing since February 3, 2023, was found unconscious near the Athabari tea garden on February 4, said police.
It has been alleged that the accused youths had forcibly taken the victim towards the forest and raped her for two days.
The accused have been identified as-Bhaijan Ali and Safar Ali.
Police said that the accused will be prosecuted under Section 376 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
Meanwhile, locals have vehemently condemned the crime and demanded capital punishment for the accused.
