Amid the widespread demonstrations against the Supreme Court’s “immigration” verdict, Former Sikkim Health Minister Dr MK Sharma’s rented building at Lumsay, Gangtok was vandalised by unidentified miscreants late last night.
The miscreants also vandalised 5 to 6 vehicles parked near the building, said Bikash Rai, the owner of the building.
A total of 15 to 20 people came in separate groups and started pelting stones at the building, said Bikash Rai.
Meanwhile, police rushed to the spot to investigate the matter.

Dr Sharma resigned from the State Cabinet last week citing ‘inaction’ on the part of the current government to address the sentiments of the Sikkimese people seriously in regard to the “foreigner tag” observation by the Supreme Court.
