Sikkim CM Tamang announces child care facilities for women state Govt employees

Continuing his efforts to boost fertility rate in the state, Sikkim Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang on Thursday announced child care facilities for a year to assist women government employees.
This would be over and above the one year maternity leave to state government employees who are the family way. He made the announcement at a programme held at Saramsa today.
The child care facilities will be provided to women who belong to the depressed and deprived society and are economically backward, who are above 40 years and widows.
“The worker will be provided with a salary of Rs 10,000 monthly and should be of the age of 40 and above. This child care should not be given to any other household chores” he added.
The CM had earlier announced a slew of incentives to improve the dipping fertility rate.
