Manipur Governor La Ganesan visits RMH, meets injured school students

La Ganesan shared the grief of the deceased's family and prayed for the speedy recovery of those receiving treatment.

The Governor of Manipur La Ganesan visited the Raj Medicity hospital on Thursday and met the school children who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

As per the latest updates total of 30 injured including girl students and teaching staff are undergoing treatment at the Raj Medicity located at North AOC in Imphal West.

Another 7 injured are undergoing treatment in RIMS Hospital.

The Governor interacted with some of the injured at the hospital.
Speaking to Northeast Live, La Ganesan said that he shares the grief of the deceaseds’ families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those receiving treatment.

The RMO in charge of Raj Medicity hospital, Dr Rinko confirmed to Northeast Live that altogether 32 injured were brought into the hospital where two succumbed to their injuries last night.
The families of the injured expressed satisfaction with the urgent medical attention being given to the patients.

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Wednesday announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs to the kin of the deceased, Rs 1 lakh each to the seriously injured and Rs 50,000 for those sustaining minor injuries in the tragic road accident.

The Chief Minister has also assured that all the financial expenses for the treatment of the injured will be borne by the government.

Meanwhile, the last rites of those killed in the tragic road accident will be borne by the Thambalnu Higher Secondary School.
