Four police out post to be constructed along India-Myanmar border: Manipur Minister Haokip

Minister Letpao Haokip laid the foundation of Police Out Post along Indo-Myanmar Border at Border Pillars 76, 78, 79 and 81
Four Police Out Post will be constructed soon, Manipur Minister Letpao Haokip for Tribal Affairs and Hills, Horticulture and Soil Conservation said on Wednesday. He however, added that the issue of constructing Police Out Posts is not just a matter handled by the state government by needs the approval of the Union Home Ministry.
The Minister however, underlined the need for the Police Out Posts at the earliest to ensure the safety and security of the lives of the people living along the international borders and their properties.
“The border which India shares with China and Myanmar should be fenced at the earliest. Police Out Post is constructed so that people from neighbouring countries cannot cross over easily and the lives and properties of the people living along the borders are safe,” Minister Haokip said after laying the foundation stone for construction of Police Out Post along Indo-Myanmar Border at Haolenphai Village Border Pillar 76, Sunrise Ground Border Pillar 78, Muslim Basti Border Pillar 79 and Kwatha Khunou village Border Pillar 81.
Additional Director General of Police AP Clay Khongsai , Inspector General Police AP 2 Achin Haokip and Superintendent of Police Tengnoupal District B. Golianmang were also present at the foundation stone laying programme at Haolenphai.
