TMC alleged that the BJP failed to keep its 2018 pre-election promises and has totally lost it support.
Newly appointed All India Trinamool Congress president for Tripura, Pijush Kanti Biswas has warned the Tripura government that TMC would topple the state administration in January if the state government fails to improve the law and order situation which has deteriorated under BJP regime.
Addressing a press conference in the Trinamool headquarters in Agartala, Biswas alleged that the BJP failed to keep its 2018 pre-election promises and has totally lost it support.
He said that the overall law and order situation in Tripura has declined recently including government’s denial and police action on 10323 retrenched school teachers and Selection Test for Graduate Teachers qualified candidates when they went to seek jobs. He warned that if things did not improve soon, Trinamool Congress would launch a statewide agitation and would topple the administration in January.
Worth mentioning here is that a demonstration demanding filling up of vacant posts of Graduate Teachers turned ugly in Agartala on December 12, 2022. A number of women who were also part of the agitation were also injured in the incident.
Reacting on this Rajib Banerjee, Trinamool Congress Tripura incharge questioned as to “where is the Susaashan (good governance) as he referred that the 10,323 retrenched teachers were also allegedly thrashed by the police when they went to protest democratically.
