Manipur Woman Bodybuilder Solimla Jajo Bags Gold at WBPF Championships 2022

She won the silver medal in the Miss World Model Physique 2022 junior category

Making the state and the nation proud, Solimla Jajo from Manipur bagged a silver medal at the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2022 on Friday.

Adding another feather to her cap, Solimla Jajo has won the silver medal in the Miss World Model Physique 2022 junior category at the 13th WBPF championships 2022 held at Phuket, Thailand.

Solimla represented team India in the seven-day-long 13th WBPF championships 2022.

The championships will conclude on December 12.

Solimla who hails from Kasom khullen in Manipur’s Kamjong district is a student at Royal Gymnasium in Ukhrul. Jajo is also the brand ambassador of Ukhrul FC (football club).

She expressed her joy at winning the silver medal on the world platform and extended her gratitude towards one and all for their love, support and prayers.

Robert Meitei, Jajo’s coach and trainer at the Royal Gymnasium in Ukhrul, was overjoyed as well.

“The medal that she brought for the country, state and community put away all the hardships we endured during her preparations,” said her coach.

It may be mentioned that Solimla also won a silver medal in the 54th Asia bodybuilding and model physique championships 2022 held at Maafushi Island in July, 2022.

Here are Solimla Jajo’s achievements so far:

Solimla was recently crowned “Miss Manipur” model physique 2022 at an event held at BOAT in Imphal.

She finished fifth in the women’s model physique in the open category at the recently concluded 11th edition of the Eastern India Bodybuilding Championship, which was held in Kolkata from November 12-14, 2022.

Jajo won the inter-district championship 2022, as well as Miss Manipur Model Physique 2019 in the open category and finished fifth in the Federation Cup 2020.

She was also a medal winner at the 60th Mr Manipur championships 2022 organised by the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA).
