Lt Gen KC Panchanathan dies of heart attack in Shillong

Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma condoles the death of Lt Gen Panchanan and expressed grief over the demise.
Indian Army’s 101 Area General Officer Commanding Lt Gen KC Panchanathan died after suffering from a heart attack in Shillong last evening. He had held various prestigious post during his service.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma expressed grief at the demise of Gen KC Panchanathan and said “The very jovial & energetic Lt. Gen. K C Panchanathan, GOC 101 Area left for his heavenly abode last night.
Deeply saddened by his untimely demise. He would often visit me with suggestions on how @easterncomd can strengthen their relationship with the people of the NE”.
Gen Panchanan is survived by his mother, wife and two children. Last rites will be performed tomorrow noon at the Happy Valley crematorium in Shillong.
