Meghalaya Polls 2023: NPP announces name of AT Mondol as candidate for Phulbari seat

Former Congress leader A.T. Mondol joins NPP. Mondol will be in the fray from the Phulbari seat in the 2023 poll battle.

The NPP on Saturday announced Former Meghalaya Legislative Assembly speaker and former Congress leader, A.T. Mondol as its candidate from Phulbari constituency for the 2023 Assembly Polls. The announcement was made by NPP State President and Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma at the programme where Mondol joined the NPP. The joining programme was held at NPP’s Shillong office. Mondal’s name was announced even as the sitting NPP MLA from Phulbari, Esmatur Mominin is set to move to the TMC.
