At least 90 Organistaions, parents, students at rally to protest APPSC Paper Leak Scam

ANSU has shared its charter of demands asking immediate arrest of chairman, secretary members, and all the officials of APPSC, ED and Court-monitored probe
As many as 90 organisations, parents, students and activists are participating in one of Arunachal Pradesh’s biggest rallies ever to protest the APPSC (Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission) paper leak scam that has put hundreds of candidates and aspirants’ future at stake. The rally being led by the All Nyishi Students Union is being supported by over 40 students’ bodies of the state, NGOs and other organizations.
Why the Rally?
The rally being called the Mass Referendum Rally is to protest the question paper leak and also register dissatisfaction to the manner in which the investigation is being conducted by the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of Arunachal Pradesh Police. The AE (Civil) question paper leak case has been handed over to the CBI. The SIC is investigating all the other cases based on several FIRs filed by the aggrieved aspirants. The SIC is investigating cases since 2014 related to the paper leak case.
What ANSU Wants?
The charter of demands of ANSU includes — immediate arrest of the chairman, secretary members, and all the officials, ED and Court-monitored probe, immediate dismissal and termination of state govt officials involved, immediate declaration of Null and Void of all the exams where paper leakage has been found, no examination date to be declared by APPSC till the completion of the investigation process, SOP to be prepared with the participation of at least 2 aspirants. Jobs for Mudang Yabyang, a person with disability (PWD) candidate and Gyamar Padang, known as the whistle-blower of the APPSC exam paper leak.
The SIC investigation so far
Till yesterday, Deember 2, 25 people have been arrested by the SIC in connection with the paper leak. SIC SP Anant Mittal, said that the SIC will soon file a charge sheet for all the cases and place it before the court. This will be done within the stipulated time. Meanwhile, the SIC is gathering evidence, looking into people who might have benefited from the question paper leak. The police are also looking at the brokers who might have been involved in the leak and the cases since 2014 related to the present case.
The route of the rally
The rally started at Dehra Natung Govt College and will end at Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar.
