Nyishis of Arunachal Travel to Assam to Observe Nyedar Namlo

Nyishis belonging to the Nyedar Namlo group from Seijosa of Arunachal's Pakke-Kessang have reached in Sonitpur to offer Nyedar Namlo prayers

Keeping their centuries old religious traditions alive, the Nyishis belonging to the Nyedar Namlo group from Seijosa of Pakke-Kessang district of Arunachal Pradesh have reached Chariduwar in Sonitpur, Assam to offer Nyedar Namlo prayers.

Priest of Nidar Namlo, Tashi Taku said, “As our ancestors’ customs, animal sacrifice was common to seek eternal blessings. However, Nyedar Namlo worshipping Dony Polo- Sun and Moon, we offer prayers for peace and prosperity, sound health, prevent epidemics and unnatural death”.

He further said that the Dony Polo flags have been hoisted in all the houses of Nyishis living in Chariduwar.
