Meghalaya DGP: Situation is under control, no shortage of supplies & fuel

The DGP said that 4 additional companies of CRPF and BSF have been deployed particularly in dists where the situation was a little tense.
Meghalaya DGP LR Bishnoi told Northeast Live that the situation in the state is totally under control and peaceful now with no untoward incidents being reported since yesterday. Speaking exclusively to Editor-in-Chief Wasbir Hussain, the Meghalaya DGP said that there is no shortage of any supplies like food and fuel and the Meghalaya Police is providing security to whoever is asking for it. He said that movement of trucks and small cars have started.
The DGP further said that appropriate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure safety and security of citizens from Assam. DGP LR Bishnoi added that the police have not received any complaints from any citizens of Assam being harassed. “However if anybody has complaint he or she can approach us,” said LR Bishnoi.
Sharing details of the security arrangements the DGP said that 4 additional companies of CRPF and BSF have been deployed particularly in the districts where the situation was a little tense to prevent any escalation in law and order situation.
