A day after the unfortunate firing incident at Mukroh along the Assam-Meghalaya border killing 6 people, police is Continuing its vigil along the border and restrictions are still in place on the movement of people and vehicles entering Meghalaya. Round-the-clock watch and restrictions are in place at Jorabat, a main entry point into Meghalaya from Guwahati, Assam.
