Just a couple of days after flags resembling to global terror outfit ISIS were recovered from Western Assam’s Goalpara district, an ISIS banner with ‘Join ISIS’ written on it has been recovered in Assam’s Nalbari district on Thursday.
With the second such recovery in a matter of just a couple of days has indeed raised some serious concerns in the region with many speculating radical terror elements expanding their base in the region.
Assam has never been known to be a hotbed of radical Islamic terrorism but the authorities cannot afford to be complacent in view of the State having a large presence of illegal Bangladeshi migrants.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the matter.
