Present law & order situation better than prior to 2018: Tripura CM Manik Saha

Law and order situation has improved significantly since the BJP assumed power in 2018, claims CM Saha. Tripura CM bats for strong policing.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha today chaired a crucial meeting of the police department and reviewed the law and order situation in the state as well as handling of crimes.
Top police officials including DGP Amitabh Ranjana, ADGs, IGPs, DIGs, SPs as well as Officer-in-Charge of 83 police stations were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Saha spoke to the OCs to ascertain the prevailing situation pertaining to law and order and sought suggestions for further improving the policing system.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Saha after the crucial meeting turned the allegations of deterioration in the law and order situation levelled by the Opposition. The Tripura Chief Minister in this regard said, “Often we get allegations from the opposition that the law and order in Tripura has deteriorated but data speaks that in all sectors it has improved compared to what the situation was prior to 2018.”
Besides, Manik Saha claimed,“Crime in all sections has declined in Tripura since our government came to power in 2018.” He added that, “Incidents of murder has reduced by 15 percent, dowry deaths has reduced by 10 percent, similarly rape also decreased by 10 percent while molestation rates have declined by 35 percent, crime against women decreased by 30 percent and eve teasing has declined by around 60 percent.”
