Manipur govt exploring possibilities to fulfil demands of govt doctors

Manipur govt makes announcement when govt doctors under All Manipur Health Services Doctors’ Association are on protest since Nov 1.

Manipur govt is exploring possibility of fulfilling the charter of demands placed by protesting government doctors. This was informed by Manipur health minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan.

The announcement comes at a time when government doctors under the banner of All Manipur Health Services Doctors’ Association are on protest since November 1.

The Manipur health minister also said that the government is in talks with the agitating body and that a breakthrough is expected soon.

The charter of demands of the Manipur govt doctors include time bound promotion, enhancement of superannuation age to 65 years, creation of Director General post for Health to supervise Director Health Services, Director Family Welfare Services, Director Public Health and Director Medical Education, granting of NPA fixation w.e.f. January 1 2016 as per 7th Central Pay Commission for the Manipur Health Services doctors, strict adherence to transfer and posting policy of Health Services 2017, implementation of proposed MHS Rules 2020 and amendments, provision of risks and difficult area posting allowances among others.
