A fire broke out at around 10:39 a.m. on Saturday, engulfing a weaving centre in Kimin. The exact cause of the incident is uncertain; however, it is believed to have been ignited by a leaking LPG cylinder in one of the staffers’ kitchen.

The inferno completely gutted all weaving machines and items.

As per Arunachal Times report, the fire was brought under control with the help of GREF and ITBP water tankers and the active assistance of the police and the public, informed Kimin PS OC Nabam Had. The building belonged to retired ADC Tedi Tana Tara.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, taking account of the incident, extends every possible help to the affected.

Taking to Twitter, CM Khandu wrote, “Pained to learn about the fire in a weaving centre at Kimin.” It was brought under control by police and locals. “Papum Pare District Administration has been instructed to extend every possible help to those affected by the incident.”
