Irene Dkhar from Meghalaya crowned Miss Northeast 2022

The eagerly awaited Miss Northeast 2022 competition came to a glorious finale with Irene Dkhar of Meghalaya being crowned the winner.

The grand finale was held at Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima last evening. Irene Dkhar walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lakh along with gift hampers.

Eshanee Hatimuria of Assam bagged the first runner-up, and Dyna Jomo of Arunachal Pradesh bagged the second runner-up.

The monetary prizes for the two runners-up were one lakh and seventy thousand rupees. Miss Photogenic- Eshanee Hatimuria, Miss Perfect 10- Irene Dkhar, Miss Talent- Eshanee Hatimuria, Queen of Hearts- Lika Chophy, Miss Beautiful Skin- Mannasha Devi Sapam, and Miss Multimedia- Dyna Jomo were the sub title winners.

Notably, 15 contenders from the eight Northeastern states competed for the renowned championship. This was the first Miss Northeast pageant under the auspices of the Northeast Beauty Pageant Organization, and it was held by the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland in partnership with the Naga Government.

The pageant’s second iteration will be held in Sikkim next year.
