Renowned fashion designer from Assam, Sanjukta Dutta has added another feather to her hat by receiving the coveted Dada Saheb Phalke Excellence Award.
Sanjukta Dutta has put the Mekhela Chador on the global map and has received numerous recognitions. Sanjukta Dutta has added another feature to her hat by receiving the coveted Dada Saheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018.
Dutta has been awarded as the “Best Fashion Designer of The Year” at the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards 2018.
She boasts of showcasing her exquisite designs at various national stages and is all set to take the indigenous Assam silk on the internal arena as her designed dress will be worn by international celebrities at the prestigious Cannes film fest this year.
Bollywood stars like Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza and Preity Zinta have dinned the traditional Mekhela Chador designed by Sanjukta at various prestigious fashion shows and events.
