CSWO condemns violence during FKJGP rally

Police must take suo moto cognizance of the incident so as to ensure that such incidents never take place in the future, said CSWO.
The Civil Society Women Organization has strongly condemned the attack on people during a Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) rally in Shillong this afternoon.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Civil Society Women Organization president Agnes Kharshiing decried such attacks on innocent people.
Kharshiing clearly maintained that people in the state only wants peace and that violence has no place in the society.
Besides, the Civil Society leader also demanded that the police must take suo moto cognizance of the incident so as to ensure that such incidents never take place in the future. Agnes Kharshiing said,” We do not promote violence and they should stop it immediately.”
