CM Khandu recommends Guv to remove APPSC members

Khandu cabinet has recommended the Governor to invoke provisions of Article 317 to remove members of the APPSC.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu met Governor Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra and handed over the recommendation of the Cabinet to invoke provisions of Article 317.

The Pema Khandu cabinet has decided to recommend the Governor for invoking provisions of Article 317 to remove members of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).

Chief Minister Khandu after handing over the memorandum to the Governor said that his government is determined to take the process of cleansing of APPSC to its logical conclusion in larger interests of youths and state.

Besides, the cabinet has also recommended to initiate provisions of the Article 317 for the suspension of 4 APPSC members.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu informed that the CBI has already reached Itanagar and has registered an FIR.

Chief Minsister Khandu reiterated that his government from Day 1 has made its intentions very clear for overhauling the entire APPSC.

Meanwhile, 2 APPSC members Major General Ganesh Singh Bisht (Retd.) and Major General Jarken Gamlin (Retd.) have tendered resignation.
