As per the new policy, the women cricketers will earn Rs 15 lakh for a Test match, 6 lakh for an ODI and 3 lakh for a T20I.

India’s centrally-contracted women cricketers are all set to earn the same match fees as their male counterparts. This will apply for appearances in international matches. The development comes as per the board’s new pay equity policy.

As per the new policy, the women cricketers will earn Rs 15 lakh for a Test match, 6 lakh for an ODI and 3 lakh for a T20I. At present the Team India Women players earn Rs 1 lakh for an ODI or a T-20 match and Rs 2.5 lakh for a Test Match.

However, no changes have been made to the BCCI’s annual retainers for women players. Those in the highest retainer bracket take home Rs 50 lakh, while Grade B and Grade C players are valued at Rs 30 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively.

Meanwhile, the male cricketers are divided into 4 categories with Grade A+ players being paid Rs 7 crore, and those in Grades A, B and C receiving Rs 5 crore, 3 crore and 1 crore respectively.
