The Adi Bane Kebang has rubbished the claims made by PLA and MNPF of shooting down the army chopper. Claims are bogus, says ABK.
The Adi Bane Kebang has strongly reacted to the claims made by rebel groups- the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and Manipur Naga People’s Front (MNPF) of shooting down the army helicopter at Singing near Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district. The crash took place on October 21.
The ABK which is the apex body of the Adi tribe, strongly condemned the claims made by the rebel groups terming it as “misleading and bogus”.
Briefing media, Adi Bane Kebang spokesperson Vijay Taram said, “We want to make it clear that Adi people will not tolerate any such anti-national activities or operations within the Adi territory. We will not tolerate any such heinous claims in the future also. We cannot allow anyone to intrude into out territory especially when it comes to anti-national activities.”
ABK spokesperson Vijay Taram wondered as to how such claims can be made that says the groups are operating from the Adi territory.
Taram said the claims are totally misleading and that the groups must refrain from making such unwarranted claims in the future.
