Arunachal: Landslides in Bomdila, no casualties

The NDRF, SDRF as well as the police are on high alert and efforts are being made to identify all vulnerable areas.

Incessant rainfall since Monday afternoon has triggered landslides at multiple places in Arunachal Pradesh’s Bomdila town. A car and a 2-wheeler were buried by debris of landslides this morning.

Landslide was also reported near Khandu Bakery and Kakaling.

The Mindu Jomba District Disaster Management Officer and team comprising of NDRF, along with police are in high alert and have already swung into action. Besides, the team is also earmarking both safe as well as vulnerable places to avert any unpecedented situation.

It may be mentioned that the India Meteorological Department has already sounded an Orange Alert in the Frontier state in the wake of Cyclone SITRANG.
